ok im scared off hurtin it or scaring it lol its not really been handled before just now n again coz it was parent reared and has only been on own for few days b4 it came to our house how should i handle it is there any thing i should do it flies round cage when ya put hand in to feed it? |

Never chase the bird around the cage tuttut They're prey animals & you don't want it to think you're chasing it for dinner :scared: . how do i pick him up if he wont go on my finger and if he gets out out on own how do i catch him to get back in lol i have an open staircaase so would never catch him lol. also he flies round or hovers in corner if i go near cage he is eating fine n playing thogh? |

It's a good idea to trim the wings while you're bonding & training a bird ('course, you have to catch him first :lol: :lol: :lol: drats ), it makes them more reliant on you & easier to train. You can always let the wings grow out later. |

I agree with Andy on this. Even with their wings clipped they can still fly to a certain extent. Just not so much that you can't catch them. They do more of a glide to the floor which is what you want. |
