Red Nostril; Should I be worried?

Today I noticed Abby was scratching her right nostril with her foot and saw that the right side of her nose was a bit red. I don't know if this is because she was scratching it or if there might be something bigger going wrong! I'm really worried, but she doesn't seem to be showing any other signs of illness, her nose is clean, dropping are normal, she's been active and playful and she hasn't been any more or less nippy today. Is there something wrong? Is there cause for concern about an infection or something else? Or is it just me over-reacting to a little redness we all get after a good scratch?

Slight Update: After a half hour it's looking only slightly pink. Seems like it's going away. I'm going to post this anyways just in case the red nose thing is sign of illness.

As long as there is no discharge of any kind from the nostrils and she is not sneezing, and she seems to be acting as normal, eating and drinking , i don't think there is any cause for concern.
Our little darlings do worry us from time to time don't they.

sometimes when they are are eating they get some dust from the seed up their nostrils which like us irritates them so they scratch their nostrils, but do keep an eye on her though.

I see this sometimes in my guys. I always worry when I see pink around the nostrils. Like everyone has said, keep a close watch on him (I know you will :) ) but it will probably go away in a day or so. Let us know!!

Buster my Macaw has seasonal allergies that cause his nose to get red on occasion especially when the heat in the house is on.

I glad all is well with her!!!
