hi kiwi has been very quiet today he even let us touch him without biting us. he is sat on his perch at the side like he does wen he sleeps. he is eating as normal but seems to be quite sleepy and quiet his feathers keep been ruffled a little too. but it aint constant. Does this mean he is sick? or could it mean something else and should i jus keep eye on him everything else looks normal? too.he stil a little chirpy. his cage is near a radiator which has been on a bit ut not on full but we have now turned itoff if this could mean nething? i dont wanna take vets unless absolute neccessary as they dnt do much 4 brds and i dont want to distress him ne more than need be?

He does sound sick but if hes been next to a radiator he could be just very warm and sleepy. move the cage away from there he has no need for the extra heat. if he is still fluffed up in the morning you will need to take him to the vet , Jackie - scooby will be on later she will know where there is a vet near you.

I would do as Kev said and keep a close eye on him. Fluffing is a sign of sickness so be sure you watch him very carefully.

Sorry to say this but text speak is not allowed on the forum as some of us do not use it and struggle to understand it and there is no need for it on the forum as there are no limits to the amount you can write :)

Hi Laura,
I hope Kiwi is feeling better, but if not there's a vet in Bradford that I take Oscar to that has an avian specialist who's been really helpful. The vet's name is Johanna Storm, and she's based at Shearbridge Vet Centre, 2 Legrams Lane, Bradford, BD7 1ND. The number for appointments is 01535 605033. I'm not sure whether they're open on the weekend, but its worth a try if you're concerned
