Baby Boo got a toenail stuck in an itty-bitty hole on one of these! You cant see it on this photo i downloaded so i will take a pic tonight.
Fortunatly it happed when we were all eating dinner rather than during the day when no one was home to help her free herself!!!
Such tiny toenails!!!

Good thing you were there, most all toys have this type of pear clip.

Now I looked at all mine and they don't have that hole at the end. Did that come with a store bought toy? I ordered lots of the pear ones from ebay and there all solid.

I have also not seen that type before normally they are solid as Bonnie said, I have been lucky with mine none have got them selves caught on toys yet. Now the budgies that's a different story as mine have longer thinner nails and I have untangled frank a couple of times eek

I'm not sure where it came from, i have a jar full of different ones, ones without, ones that are oval shaped. If it did come off a toy, its a good lesson to not reuse them!

I'm glad you were there when it happened! That could be a scary situation! :scared:

Whenever I clean cages I make it a habit to check all the toys to make sure there's nothing they can snag their toes or beaks on.

It must have came with a toy that you bought, so we had better look twice when we buy toys.
