I will check his breast bone again tonight but there seems to be no rush to eat today which is a better signthan the last few days when he has rushed down to eat from the floor

hes pretty good Jan he seems to be putting a bit of meat back on and is not famished when I uncover them in the morning he is also not constantly eating. I am still putting cider vinegar in all of their water as this acts as a yeast killer for his crop and in case he has spread it to the others as he does feed Budge everyday but it would be hard to tell wioth budge as he has always been very very skinny with no muscle on his breast.
Budge was kept in a small cage for a couple of years and not allowed out so therefore can not fly he has no breast muscle and can not hold his wings up properly, he does flap everyday but his wings do not go very fast, the poor old bugger.
