I have always loved Meyers ( along with a big others on my wishlist) so when they were advertised locally I thought I'd treat myself!!) ( last big cage used up now!!!!)
I'm just in love!!
I've called them Grissam and Cathryn. They are about 6 years old.
Grissam loves a tickle on the head and they both take nuts from the hand. They have settled really well, and don't flap and panic ( like most newbies). I think they knew I'd love them.
Cathryn is the boss, she must eat before Cathryn.
I'll get some decent pics up soon ( I've taken some on iPhone but my digi cam is alot better!!!

congratulations bakewell.
I have a meyer parrot called Ollie he is pauls parrot, he was bought for me but he never liked me the only person he lets tickle him is paul.
Meyer are really laid back parrots but Ollie gets really upset by any changes in his cage or in the room.
here is a pic of Ollie he is about 4 years old now we got him at 11 weeks old

Thanks guys! These are a breeding pair (apparently)
Ollie is a handsome boy! Yeah I've been told they get quiet territorial of one owner! Also been told they can kill ( like cockatoos) especially if you pair up a hand reared one to breed. But Giss and Cath have been together years . Bit I'm always checking up on them!
At this rate I'm gonna have to stay at home permantly once maternity is up lol!!!!
