Looks like budge has a fatty tumor or something along those lines he has always been a strange shape with the bump above his tail but he now seems to have a soft lump underneith him. I have checked himover and I can find no marks or anything.
budgies are prone to fatty tumurs and there is nothing that can be done with them I believe

Can you see it ?

Is he bothered by it Kev? As long as he doesn't start picking at it and get it infected he should be fine. Poor guy :(

They are fatel in the long term but there is nothing that can be done for him. it doesn't bother him at the moment its not open or anything although I did panic the other night I checked him over and put him back in the cage and noticed my hands were red ....... for a second or two I paniced then realised I had been using a red marker :)

The only problem I can see for the future is where it is and that if it gets too big it will make it awkward for him to move around but we will see.

Oh you mean bumpy budge which is his new name :)

The lower lump does look slightly larger now but is still soft, if he was female it looks like a big egg bum, the good this is I have to pick him up when I move the cges as he can not fly so I do check him a couple of times a week. My guess is that at some point it will get too big for him to perch but at the moment I am leaving him be as he seems quite happy to be bossing the others around .... as long as Squeak isn't there
