so ive had Gadzooks (zooky) a month now and hes not interested in the toys he has...apart from the mirror...h spends a great deal of time looking in that and at anything else that has his reflection lol.i was thinking of getting him this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Natural-Living-X-Playground-Birds-Bark-Wooden-5663-/290562136923?pt=UK_Pet_Supplies_Birds&hash=item43a6da5b5b but i was also wondering if anyone else had any ideas for cool toys? because so far botle caps and little bits of twisty string is all he likes lol. |

That looks fun!!! I think Ive brought from them before! There pretty good. All my parrotlets love the see-saw swing (not sure what its actually called but I got it from wilkinsons for £1.09. Pancake loves fighting with the bell on it and flapping his wings so he goes around in circles!! Misty and Mayazaki sit on the same side.. if one went on the other side they have so much more fun XD Jasper loves to look at himself.. and the rest just sit on them (they most probably have a play when Im not watching lol) Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image And some like toilet rolls, lots of natural wood (my mum and father in law both have a huge cherry tree and plenty of others we use) they love to chew and nibble of the bark... hmmm looking at Pancakes cage and he could do with his replacing actually! Bells.... most my birds love their bells! |

lol, the most zookys got excited about was the plastic see through bottle cap. i didnt know wilkos did pet toys, thanks for that, il go have a looky. wilkos are cheap so sounds like a good place to have a gander ^^ your birds look so adorable!! as im sat here typing now zookys trying to destroy my laptop lol. got th radio on it playing so hes like ohhhhhh. |

LOL!! my pet Lorikeet Gordon does that too!! yeah its only a very small section (like always for the birds) They also have a purple swing they quiet like too. |

My Parrotlet likes things he can chew up and destroy, like this Yucca toy. The 'wood' is really soft and it's easy to destroy. http://www.amazon.com/Wesco-Original-Bird-Kabob-Shreddable/dp/B0002FP1W0 Can you guys get these in the UK? |

Can also pick up the swing thing from the pound shops.. they also do a few different types of bird toys.. My parrotlets dont play much either they just look at the stuff and Im sure they wonder what the hell I put it in there for... :question: They all luv the swing thing tho... Sky sleeps on hers also. |

a friend of mine bought me a swing to give to zooky so il get that from him tomorrow :). hopefully he'l like it lol. and yea ive seen a few chewable wooden tous you can get, he has one in his cage that got like round wooden platforms and a mineral block between lol. never touched the mineral block >_>. i cant get over his fascination with the bottle cap, he runs arounf the floor with it for ages lol. i think yesterday me and zooks had abit of breakthrough, usually he hates hands and you have to have food to get him on them,but yesterday everytime i went to do it he got on my finger, was glued to me yesterday then any other day so far :) so i hope if i get him some out of cage toys and stuff he wont start ignoring me XD |

thanks :) omg!!!!!!!!!! that toy looks so cool!!! lol this always ends up me seeing something and going ohhh want. then zookys like no thanks XD. ah id have to get one of those for my mouse snufkin! he'd love it! lol. yukka and java,mk noted. il go on a huge toy shopping spree...well not huge but at least like 4 new items lol. |

lol nah,thats some random avatar i picked off the pics given on this site. i did try to upload a pic of one of my cats coz i have 2, ive got an old half siamese half tabby called Socks and a black cat who has extra toes on his front poors so it looks like he has thumbs called Nero :). theyr the more normal names of my pets XD. a few years back i had a tailess budgie who i named Batty. he doed early though, i think he died before he was a year old :(. too much wrong with him poor lil fella. but hes the reason i wanted another bird. very much love having animals :) |

lol. im definately more of a cat lover. but i live with my boyfriends now and he lives in the town centre, my cats are used to much less busier areas so they stay with my mum. i felt kinda lost without pets being here so i nagged Gray to let me get me get these 2 little terrors to look after. snufkin was actually more of a christmas prezzy, hes the most craziest rodent ever lol. i saw him there in southern aqautics and instantly thought hes the one to buy. then i got zooks just last month. and hes a proper little joy to have, except all the chewing lol. hes been chewing bits off my laptop ><. actually im pretty sure this morning he said pretty birdy, im a little deaf so i could of misheard...is it common for them to talk this early? |

Talking??? I thought they took ages for parrotlets to pick up words. Parrotlets arnt the best mimics but they can learn to talk. The spectacled parrotlet apparently being the best! and my pancake doesnst speak, but im not bothered if they dont talk to be honest. Thats not why I got them. I know alot of people will sell parrots because they dont talk, or they only want a parrot which can talk :( you will have to try and catch a recording on video if hes talking so soon! rasberry |
