zooky seems to have hurt his foot while hes playing about in his cage.

he can move his toes, theres no bruising, blood and everything seems fine. but hes got no grip in it and hes trying to climb and tire himself out.

whats everyones ideas? straight to the vet or leave it for a while? we think he might have knocked it.

im so worried :( :(

Did he bleed? Cornflour is good to put on nips and snips that causes bleeding.
Check over his toys asap! check them over if he has caught them on a chain or something.

No blood, no swelling cuts or bruising. But he's really wearing himself out, literally falling off the bars. Hes not using his foot and the legs staying tucked in. I don't think it's broken. I'm worrying so much. I don't want him to die =,(

Haven't been able to ring him yet, Gray has the number and he's popped out on a quick job and I can't het hold of him for it. Typical man lol. But zooks is cool. Pottering about making loud noises- same as usual. Foots still no change. I have a feeling it's more the leg then foot though.

But I think he'l be fine, if the vet says come see them il go, il have to borrow money from Grays sister coz I'm skint ATM though. lol.

we did a regular vet check. the lady was really helpful. she said his feet are fine, no breaks or anything like that, as i thought. then she refered us to an avian vet. me and gray arent loaded, the dude wanted to keep zooky there for xrays and all that jazz and said its either a back injury or calcium deficiency. the lady vet said his body was fine and he flies like a trooper. so i doubt the back injury. so the avian vet gave us some drops and stuff. he was gonna charge us like £250. gray was almost keeling over.

the avian vet we saw i didnt think was helpful, so if zooky doesnt improve on these drops then were gonna find another avian vet. coz we wanted to know you know if it was proper serious or if a few nights of rest and meds could make it better. you know like how serious is it. and he just danced around the questions. tbh i think i may have looked at zookys poo under crappy morning light so it looked darker then it is coz its a normal colour now. hes still his same self. stubborn, hard headed, flying, let me out, noiiiiise.

also zookys eating and drinking. and both vets said he looked healthy. so im feeling confident the meds will work. think this little holiday could have been too much for him, there was alot of people and attention and lots of outdoors sitting etc.

poor gray i feel so guilty :(.he agreed to pay because he doesnt want me to lose zooky and be sad. i gotta pay him back £115 =(. there goes the money i desperately needed for new clothes. only got 2 pairs of trousers left rofl.
