took his cover off his cage this morning and i could tell straight away he wasn't right. very lethargic, not aggressive when i touched his foot, when he jumped to a branch he left his wing up and not eating. rang the vet but got to wait till 10am for the surgery to be open! he's sat on my shoulder right now slightly puffed up, sleepy, sometimes clicking and then every now and again he will lift his wing up and slowly bring it down. he's also quite shaky sometimes
could this be metal poisoning still in his system from july?

Thanks everyone :) well the vet thought it was an infection in his air sacs so gave me antibiotics to give to him for the next few days. but he has been getting better since last night, actively looking for food and eating it, drinking, vocals and the classic parrotlet aggression lol
so if this keeps up i'm gonna ring the vet tomo and let him know see if will still need antibiotics

Sorry to hear about Gizmo but I'm glad he's feeling better. Usually the vet will want you to finish the full course of antibiotics (7 days or whatever) even if they are looking well.

Let us know how it's going!!

Glad to hear that Gizmo is doing better. Did the vet say how he could have gotten the infection?

It's always best to give the medication for the full period, otherwise you could be helping in producing stronger varieties of the virus :(

Glad to hear he's perking up though :)
