OMG…how awful that Twitch flew away. They were extremely lucky to find him!!! He’s sounds like a real ham!!!! He is very handsome too!! :D

Do you have any pics of your Parrotlets? I would love to see them. As for breeding, that would be a full time job for sure!

This is the only picture I have right now that I can put online. The rest of my pics are photos from a 35mm. I don't have a scanner but my son and daughter-in-law do. Maybe I can get to thier house or have them scan them and send them to me. Some of the pics I have show the girls hanging upside down from the open door of their cage. They look like little green bats. Parrotlets are so comical, they are like little acrobats. I love them.

We know how lucky we were to find Twitch. They live near downtown Grand Rapids and their are several types of hawks, peregrine falcons and saw whet owls to name a few avian predators. Then there are cats and dogs. Also there are people who would just keep a bird if they found it. We worked hard and prayed a lot. My son slept in his backyard every night Twitch was gone. I found out this morning that Twitch's favorite tv show is Deal Or No Deal. He loves to cheer with the audience and he loves it when the phone rings on the show. He has been so good for my son this past week. His best friend died and Twitch has been a big help to him, because of the work it takes to care for him and the entertaining things he does. What a blessing. Of course aren't all pets a blessing?

My son and his girlfriend have an African grey.  He is about the same age as my girls (18 months).  About a month after they got him he flew out the door.  We were a wreck.  On the third day he was gone my son was at a friends house and looked up and saw Twitch in a tree.  He had to climb up the tree to get him.  They have entry ways at both doors so now both sets of doors are always closed.

He is very lucky to get him back!

We lost coco about 10 years ago, he was in the garage with my hubby, on his perch as he always was (clipped, but growing back in) a car honked, and he took off. I was in tears, never thought we would get him back! it took a day of hunting him down, but we finally got him back! he's never been in the garage since!

I am so glad you found Coco. These birds become children and you can't explain to people what heartbreak it is when they go missing.

Diane you are so right when you say they are like children!!! Unfortunately I could never have kids so my Parrots have filled that void. Some of my friends think I'm a little goofy at times about my "babies"!!! lol....

Your son must have been beside himself with worry...The important part is that Twitch was found!!!
