I'm always talking about how aggressive Boo is with me (biting me when I feed her, etc.) but she and Pesto have been doing really well with me when I take them out of their cages. Today I got them both and put them on their playgym. They had a few beak fights but nothing major, and mainly sat next to each other while sharing millet, and played on my keyboard. Later I had both of them perching on my index fingers just looking at me and they both started to preen my hair at the same time  then would take turns preening each other. It was really cute. Boo does this sideways 'wiggle throat' thing to Pesto too, I guess she's trying to feed him. Maybe she fancies the little guy after all?? What do you guys think? |

The 'wiggle throat' thing is definately a feeding behavior! I've seen it before. And it is adorable!!! I had a male/female pair who bonded to each other (unintentionally, and due to my ignorance), and the male exhibited this behavior all the time. And even though I didn't really want this behavior, it was adorable .. oh my goodness, just the loviest thing ever  |

I've been trying not to interact with Boo so much in the hope that she would get more attached to Pesty. Maybe it's working :D |

OK so everyone agrees the wiggle throat is a good sign, but like Buuz said, isn't it usually the male that feeds the female? I always thought Boo was sort of 'manly'
:o I was a little bit confused because I've seen budgies feeding each other, but it's nothing like this side to side 'hula' throat  |

Woo Hoo!!! I think that is fantastic! The best thing you could have done is separate them! Now I think they are really serious about each other! Absence makes the heart grow fonder! ;) |
